The Clockwork Angel (Infernal Devices, Book 1)

Clockwork Angel - Cassandra Clare Tessa: I like Tessa. She's very relatable and not only reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but me, another proud bibliophile. Also, Tessa's very brave after having been thrown into the Shadowhunters' world. And how cool is her special ability? Will: With his last name being Herondale, I thought he'd be a mirror of Jace. Unfortunately, no such luck. He was not nearly as witty as Jace, nor as sweet despite his bad boy image. Honestly, Will is really moody and reminded me of a girl PMSing, and I remember barely laughing in this entire book.Jem: Jem is the super kind best friend that is always there for you when you need him. He isn't very funny, but I preferred him over Will.I must say it, though I love Cassandra: These characters were really disappointing, and the character development wasn't magnifique.Plot: This book was really slow at some points for me, but the plot is pretty cool. I mean, there's Shaowhunters and other evil creatures! How can you go wrong with these?Overall feelings: Because I absolutely adore every single character from the Mortal Instruments, I guess I had my hopes too high for this one. I've been told that the second book is a lot better, and the characters get further developed. So, I am hopeful for Clockwork Prince. I've got to read it before Clcokwork Princess. Only 65 more days! I'm running out of time!!!!! Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes. Even though I was disappointed, I think I can trust Rachel and Crystal that the next book is awesome, so it'll be worth the read in the end.
